FAQs

How do I know if my therapist is a good fit?

Determining fit for therapy is often a matter of a gut feeling. It is important that you feel both safe and challenged within the therapy space. Sometimes it just takes time to establish those feelings and other times, it might not be possible to get there with a particular person. If there is anything that prevents you from feeling either of those with your therapist, it is a great idea to talk to them about it. You can either work through it or the therapist should be able to point you in the direction of someone who may be a better fit.

What can I expect if we work together?

You will first be expected to schedule an initial intake appointment. During that appointment, I will speak with you about all the things that bring you into therapy and talk about your personal background. If we determine that we are a good fit to work together, we may also begin setting goals for the ongoing treatment. From the second session on, we will begin to have conversations about your life to work toward your personal goals.

Do you take insurance?

I currently accept United Healthcare, Anthem, and Medical Mutual of Ohio insurances or private, out-of-pocket payments. If I do not accept your insurance, I can still work with you and provide you with documentation to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement depending on your insurance policy.

What happens if I need to miss an appointment?

If you cancel your appointment within 24 hours or do not show up, you will be charged for the full cost of the session.
